That “WEIRD” Saturday!
We know of Good Friday, We know of Easter Sunday but what about out Saturday? Good Friday gets the drama, lots of it, Easter Sunday gets the celebration and then there’s Saturday sitting there like a forgotten middle child of the Easter weekend.
It’s actually awkward! Even the self proclaimed favorite disciple didn’t cover what happened on Saturday? Doctor Luke too? The dude has been so detailed bana. This particular Saturday feels like the awkward silence in a conversation. Jesus is in the tomb, the disciples are hiding, Heaven Just seems quiet. Was there tension by the way? Or the udaku masters spreading the news of the previous day drama? Nothing seems to be happening…. and yet everything is!
This day to me feels like the pause between heartbreak and healing, the space where grief lingers, questions hang in the air and hope hasn’t quite dawned yet. Somewhere between “it is finished” and “He is risen” somewhere in between “nothing seems to be moving” and ” A total shift”
“The day after the cross, but before the resurrection”
How long do we spend in the in between? The part where you pray for answers but have to wait on God’s timing which can feel like loud silence leaving you wondering if God is still moving?
Want to know the best part? The resurrection.
So if you’re in a Saturday season—keep holding on.
Resurrection is closer than you think.
Hope is not lost.
God is not done.
Even in silence, He’s still writing the story.
Because after Saturday… Sunday always comes.
